48 Hours Shop till You Drop

Located in Adelaide’s East End in Rundle St, this treasure trove stocks an eclectic range of quirky and colourful jewellery and accessories by local brands including Palas charms, as worn by Asher Keddie on Offspring. Take home an SA wearable artefact in the form of one of Barossa Valley jeweller Sue Garrard’s upcycled bespoke pieces made from pre-loved men’s ties, vintage cake tins and Tupperware. The continuation of Rundle Mall, Rundle St is also home to the legendary fashion emporium Miss Gladys Sym Choon and Ebenezer Place, where must-visits include Midwest Trader and Adelaide jewellery and fashion designer Naomi Murrell’s boutique.

As glam as it is girlie, GretaKate is the creation of one of Adelaide’s favourite fashion daughters Greta Rumsby. Although the label specialises in bridalwear, including custom-made gowns, Greta loves designing for any occasion. Every exquisite piece, fashioned from imported fabrics, laces and beading, is made in-house by Greta and her team. The GretaKate studio also sells beautiful bespoke headpieces by Adelaide milliner Sylvy Earl, Swarovski crystal jewellery from Spain, handbags, shoes and other bridal accessories. It’s close to The Parade precinct where you’ll find chain stores, including SA-owned Cleverdicks, the delightful gift shop A Trip To The Moon and eateries such as Argo.

Housed in the former Melba Cinema built in the 1920s, One Rundle’s flagship store in Dulwich is an emporium like no other. Stocking a range of antiques, homewares, jewellery, accessories and beauty products, it has something for everyone – there’s even a room filled with gifts for the man who has everything. Be sure to make your way down the back, where there’s a women’s fashion department with Australian and international labels including Megan Park, Thurley, Rebecca Vallance, Missoni and Twin-Set. You can even bring furry friends along providing they’re on a leash and know their way around etiquette.
